Internationality and art are two distinctive elements of Venice that merge into the Arte Laguna Prize, now in its 13th edition. An international contest aimed at promoting and enhancing contemporary art and design, also stimulating the creation of partnerships and opportunities for artists. In fact, in addition to cash prizes, the winners can be awarded personal exhibitions in international galleries, art residencies all over the world, and collaborations with companies.
The special “Business for Art – Tessitura Bevilacqua” award
The “Business for Art – Tessitura Bevilacqua” award is part of these collaborations, which our company has been developing for some time (such as those with the Armenian artist Tatiana Daniliyants or with Anna Paola Cibin) and which were created with the aim of connecting creativity with the world of production.
This is a special recognition for which participants are required to present projects that involve the use of Bevilacqua fabrics. The theme is free, and the artist has the freedom to choose how to use the fabric. The winner will be awarded the precious handmade soprarizzo Leoni velvet.
In addition to the special prizes, there are 10 categories of competition, and the finalists, selected by a jury of excellence, will participate in the important collective exhibition to be held in Venice, in the evocative spaces of the Arsenale, from March 16th to April 7th, 2019. An exhibition that has become a regular appointment for contemporary art lovers with original and stimulating works.
It’s possible to apply for the Arte Laguna Prize until November 27th, 2018.
