Velluto Soprarizzo Liberty Tessiture Bevilacqua

Velvet

Also, among the offerings are velvets still made by hand using original 18th-century looms. Among these is soprarizzo or chiseled velvet, a true masterpiece of craftsmanship, the most precious and exclusive category of Luigi Bevilacqua fabrics. It’s the result of a long and elaborate process that combines curly and cut velvet, creating extraordinary effects of chiaroscuro and depth. Velvet has a history linked to Venice, where in the 15th and 17th centuries it was produced for residences and clothing of the privileged classes.
