Bevilacqua fabrics have been chosen to decorate Artemest Galleria in New York, a permanent space where interior designers, architects, collectors and private clients can explore the world of Italian craftsmanship, design and art, and learn the secrets of centuries-old techniques. Let’s find out what it’s all about.
A Tribute to Italian Craftsmanship and Design Excellence
In 2015, Marco Credendino and Ippolita Rostagno launched a visionary project: Artemest. Founded on a passion for Italian craftsmanship and design, this online platform aims to share the extraordinary beauty and unparalleled quality of Italian craftsmanship with the world. Credendino, CEO of Artemest, together with Rostagno, Creative Director, has created a digital space where discerning shoppers can immerse themselves in the sophistication of the best contemporary Italian design, including furniture, lighting, home décor, gifts, art and lifestyle.
Artemest’s eclectic selection includes more than 60,000 products handcrafted in Italy by more than 1,500 of the country’s most talented artisans. Each piece expresses a legacy of skills and knowledge passed down through generations. Among these prestigious artisans, there is also room for our Tessitura, which has helped shape Artemest’s aesthetic identity with a selection of decorative pillows in fine Venetian fabrics.
Headquartered in Milan, Artemest recently underscored its commitment to excellence with the renovation of its space in New York’s West Chelsea art district: Artemest Galleria.
An Exclusive Space to Explore Italian Artistic Excellence
Artemest Galleria spans 5,000 square meters of indoor and outdoor space. Designed for experimentation and surprise, it houses a selection of furniture, lighting and decorative pieces that embody the soul of contemporary Italian craftsmanship.
Designed and curated by architect and interior designer Samuele Brianza, together with Ippolita Rostagno, Artemest Galleria showcases unique objects made from the highest quality materials using traditional techniques from different regions of Italy. The result is a space with an unmistakably Italian atmosphere, where each piece tells a story of creativity and craftsmanship. An exclusive place to capture the Italian sense of beauty.
The care taken in the selection of pieces is evident, with more than 50 artisans and designers involved in bringing the style and uniqueness of Italian craftsmanship to an international audience.
The Elegance of Acanto Brocatelle at Artemest Galleria
Acanto brocatelle, one of the gems of the Bevilacqua collection, finds a prestigious stage at Artemest Galleria. Informed by refined Milanese interiors, the space features Venetian stucco surfaces, oak frames and warm lime finish walls.
Chandeliers with floral designs catch the eye, while an extensive collection of objects in Murano glass, terracotta, hand-painted ceramics and silver embellish the space.
Curtains in Acanto brocatelle, in the “nuvola” color, play a key role in enriching Artemest Galleria. The elegant ornamental pattern of this fabric features acanthus leaves, flowers, buds, pine cones and sinuous shoots that gently emerge from the background, highlighted by the luster of this fabric. It is available in five colors: peacock, red, green, olive and nuvola. The latter was chosen by Artemest Galleria to create an ethereal and delicate atmosphere with its refined blend of white, ivory and grey.
We are proud of the role Acanto Brocatelle has played in enhancing and emphasizing the uniqueness of Artemest Galleria in New York. In addition to serving as a decorative element, this fabric becomes an authentic ambassador of Made in Italy, bringing with it the tradition and elegance of Italian craftsmanship.
