In the ateliers of Venetian artisans, unique creations are born that have made the lagoon city famous. Bottega Cini celebrates them in a space full of sensorial emotions.
A Renaissance Atelier with a Contemporary Twist
Bottega Cini is the concept store created by the collaboration between The Merchant of Venice, Vittorio Cini Archive Foundation, and Museyoum, important players in the cultural, economic, and artistic life of Venice.
This space is proposed as a museum shop or a renaissance workshop reinterpreted in a contemporary key, to keep alive the centuries-old Venetian traditions, showcasing the refined and exclusive fruits of its production.
The retail spaces of Bottega Cini, located in Dorsoduro, offer: the fragrances of The Merchant of Venice, the artistic handcrafted glass pieces of NasonMoretti and Ercole Moretti, sculptures by Giancarlo Franco Tramontin, forcole (typical Venetian rowlock) by Saverio Pastor, silkscreen prints by Gianpaolo Fallani, porcelain by Geminiano Cozzi 1765, and other excellences of Venetian craftsmanship, a combination of tradition and innovation.
The Merchant of Venice is heir to an art, Venetian perfumery, that has an ancient history, which began with trade with the East even before Marco Polo. With its fine essences enclosed in refined Murano glass ampoules, The Merchant of Venice is not only a commercial project but also a cultural one, being part of initiatives such as the Perfume Museum and Bottega Cini.
Moreover, at Bottega Cini, the “impiraressa” (or threader, in Venetian “impirar” means “to thread”) Marisa Convento creates exquisite jewelry with ancient Venetian glass beads.
The link between perfumes, fine fabrics, and art glass is encapsulated in the history of Venice and enhanced by Bottega Cini in a sensorial journey of scents, colors, and materiality. An experience enriched by multimedia installations created by Museyoum in which you can immerse yourself and find exclusive products to fall in love with, including a selection of our bags which will be updated over time.

Bevilacqua Bags at Bottega Cini
In Bottega Cini’s retail space, the tradition of Venetian silk velvet takes the shape of our “Bevilacqua Tote” and “Bianca” bags, handcrafted by master artisans.
Bevilacqua Tote Bag is a large and capacious (base: 33 cm, height: 38 cm, depth: 13 cm) square-shaped bag with leather handles. It is made with Leoni Bizantini velvet, in silk with metallic yarns that embellish the motif of this velvet: an ancient Persian subject representing two lions guarding the tree of life, also the logo of our Tessitura.
Bianca clutch bag is smaller in size (base: 24 cm, height: 16 cm, depth: 2 cm) elegant, and versatile to fit any look. It can be carried by hand or worn on the shoulder, thanks to the chain and shoulder strap it is equipped with. A small jewel made from beautiful silk velvets: Fresie velvet and Liberty velvet (cover photo), Bolle velvet, Coccodrillo velvet, and Rinascimento velvet.
